We do not accept annual payments. Please see the monthly plan.
Monthly fees are paid a month in advance via Direct Debit. The first payment for the academic year 2020 – 2021 is due on the 1st September 2020. The cost of group tuition is currently £75 per month. This is part of a ten-month subscription. The parent is required to pay the full monthly fee whether they attend all the weekly sessions for that month or not. Our prices may be adjusted at the start of each academic year. As this is a fixed fee, the payment is still required during the Christmas and Easter break.
One to One tutoring cost £35 per hour. A £3 discount is applied per hour when booking 6 or more lessons in advance.
Where an enrolment has taken place after our first week of the academic year, 1Point4Teacher will discuss scheduling catch-up sessions to ensure your child has covered all the content. Whist these catch-ups are scheduled or underway you are required to bring your account up to date and inline with the payment schedules below.
Late Arrivals, Early Departures or Missing Lessons
For students constantly arriving late, leaving early or missing lessons, 1Point4Teacher may request that your child take supplementary individual tuition.
If at any point you have difficulty in meeting your agreed payments, please contact a member of staff in our Accounts Department on 07400 585 123 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
No reduction in fees is made in respect of absence from 1Point4Teacher during any part of the official term, whether on account of illness or any other cause.
Weekly sessions run for 36 weeks in a year. We are closed during the half terms and for 2 weeks during Easter and 2 weeks during Christmas. These dates have been reflected in the monthly price. If you have sessions on a Monday, bank holiday fees will be deducted from your fees for the final term. All other sessions outside of this term are not affected by the bank holidays. Year 6 children may want to finish at the end of May (due to SATs) but if they continue beyond this the focus will be on transitioning to year 7.
We advise you to let us know before committing to an additional month if you would like to terminate services as payments will not be refunded for the new month. This can be done up to 7 days before the next month.
Snacks During the Lesson
We understand that some students are coming to us straight from school, so we are happy for them to bring a bottle of water and a small piece of fruit (to be kept in a sealed container). No sweets, chewing gum, crisps or chocolate is permitted to be brought into the classroom. If your child does not have a water bottle, water will be provided.
Suspension and Expulsion
1Point4Teacher reserves the right to suspend or remove any student whose attendance, work or behaviour is, in their reasonable opinion, unsatisfactory. Under such circumstances, 1Point4Teacher will be under no obligation to return any fees.

Zero Tolerance Behaviour Policy
We do not tolerate bad behaviour during group sessions. We know that every child will gain knowledge from each lesson that they attend, and we want to reduce distractions as much as possible. This is one of the reasons that children are taught in year groups. The atmosphere in a year 2 class will be different from that of a year 5 class and we acknowledge this. However, If the student is disrupting the lessons, they will be given a warning (maximum of 2 warnings will be given). If this behaviour continues, their space will be terminated. At 1Point4Teacher, we teach children who want to learn, irrespective of ability. If your child has a behaviour problem, please contact us and we may be able to offer them one to one session instead.
1Point4Teacher is not registered with Ofsted as they state that ‘You cannot register if you look after each child for under 2 hours a day – even if your setting is open for longer than 2 hours'. We therefore cannot accept childcare vouchers or any other government childcare voucher schemes.
